Article in Press
"Article in Press" refers to a manuscript that has undergone peer review, been accepted for publication, but has not yet been formally published in its final version. The Aolr system facilitates the display of such articles by introducing a new volume format.
Steps:
1. Add a Volume with Number 0
Within the journal system, add a new volume, assigning it the number 0 (the year can be arbitrarily specified). Simultaneously, give this volume an alias, such as "Special Volume," "Other Volume," etc.
2. Add an Issue under the Volume
Under the newly created volume, establish an issue. While creating the issue, you can fill in any month, but ensure that the issue number (number) under the same volume is not duplicated. Define an alias, such as "Article In Press," "Publish Online First," etc. Additionally, provide a description for this issue, such as an introduction to articles of this type.
3. Select the Corresponding Volume and Issue When Publishing a New Article
When preparing to publish a new article, authors or editors, during the submission process, should choose the appropriate volume and issue.
4. Optional: Add the "Article in Press" Page to the Journal Homepage Menu
For the convenience of readers and authors, consider adding the newly configured "Article in Press" page to the menu on the journal's homepage.
Once an article is officially published and transferred to a regular volume, it is essential to update the article information on platforms like Crossref. Re-upload the XML file for DOI registration to ensure the accuracy of the article information.
